The EARBONE-S is a professional inner-ear PTT earpiece developed for communication in particularly noisy working environments. Instead of a conventional acoustic microphone, it uses a micro-vibration piezoelectric accelerometer microphone to pick up speech vibrations.
The earpiece is intended for compatible hand-held radios from YAESU, ICOM, ALINCO, COBRA, STANDARD and other manufacturers and uses an S-type plug. The in-ear speaker has a 13 mm diameter and a nominal power rating of 40 mW.
