YAESU FC-40 is a microprocessor-controlled external automatic antenna tuner designed to be installed close to the antenna feed point. It supports long-wire and suitable whip antennas over a broad HF/50 MHz range.
The tuner uses control circuitry in a compatible transceiver and stores up to 200 matching memories for fast recall. Its enclosure is intended for outdoor installation, and the supplied accessories include 5 m coaxial and control cables.
